Most of us know the theory of what it means to be a Christian, but getting on and putting it into practice that's a whole different issue. Join us at the Bible School as together we explore what it practically means to walk with Jesus.
June 5th: Dr. Martin Robinson: Developing your character.
Martin is the CEO of Together in Mission a multi-dimensional missional agency. As part of his presentation Martin will give us practical advice about how we engage in character development.
June 12th: Stewart Keillor. Deepening your relationships
Stewart is the leader of Bath City Church, a congregation of 600+. We are engaged in numerous relationships; Stewart will help us identify practical steps to deepen our relationships.
June 19th: Bishop John Went: Enriching your devotional life.
During our evening together Bishop John will give us practical suggestions on how we go about getting closer to Jesus.
June 26th: Carl Beech: Improving your witness.
Carl is the leader of Christian Vision for men. During his seminars he will help us identify and practically address the issues connected with sharing our
NEW VENUE for 2008. St. James Church, Bream - near Lydney. It is on the main road through the village of Bream in the Forest of Dean - you can't miss it.

Being A Eucharistically-Shaped Church
During June and July this year we are having a special sermon series based on the shape of the Eucharist. This will help us learn more about what we are doing in our worship, and deepen our understanding of our Christian faith. The titles for each of the sermons in the series are as follows:
8th June: The Shape of the Eucharist - Offering Our Lives as Acts of Worship
15th June: Gathering - Coming into the Presence of the Holy God
22nd June: The Liturgy of the Word - Being Addressed by God
13th July: The Peace and the Offertory- Responding to God's Generosity
20th July: The Liturgy of the Eucharist – Receiving the Power of God.

The Deanery Pastoral Committee is planning to hold a Pilgrimage to Tintern Abbey
12.00 Arrive at Tintern Old Station, a short prayer then the walk to Tintern abbey
1.00 p.m. Picnic lunch - bring your own
2.00 p.m. Guided tour of the ruins
3.00 p.m. A short Service after which we walk back to the station for tea.
