On entering the church by the south-west door, one enters under the balcony and can see the Font
Eight of the stained glass windows in St. John's are personal memorials.
The earliest is in the south wall of the Nave and is in memory of the wife of William Crawshay Heane, F.R.C.S. She died on the 8th December 1878, aged 61 years. Dr Heane was the Medical Officer of Health for No 4 District, Westbury - on - Severn, and a certified Factory Surgeon. He lived at The Lawn, Ruardean, which he bought in 1873 and lived there until his death in 1895
Next in date is the one depicting St. John, being the south light of the east window. Mr John S. Hewlett gave this window in memory of his wife and it is inscribed "To the Glory of God and in Memory of Henrietta A.B.Hewlett, ever loved wife of John S. Hewlett who fell asleep October 28th 1921". The artist who designed this window was Christopher Webb of
