Churches Together In Cinderford Renew Their Covenant.
On Sunday 20th January at 3.00pm many people from the congregations of the nine churches, which are Churches Together In Cinderford, gathered together in St Ethelbert’s Church in Littledean. Today was the Service of Renewal of the Covenant in which the churches are pledged to work together to spread the word of God in Cinderford. The service started with the hymn ‘O for a Thousand tongues to Sing’ the readings were given by Vivien Prescott and Fr Barnabus. Philip Hyne gave a strong sermon; Peter Poole lead the Renewal of the Covenant and after the members of the congregation shared the peace with one another. The Revd Geoffrey Burn and Tim Cracknell led the intercessory prayers and the service concluded with a blessing by the Revd Richard Wynne. Members of St Ethelbert’s Church served refreshments after the service.
