Appeals

St John’s is currently raising money for an accessible toilet, rewiring and new lighting system, any donation would be gratefully received by any Church Officer.

Since  the closure of the Church Hall St. John’s has been without a toilet facility, much to the inconvenience of the congregation and anyone attending Weddings and Funerals. It also  restricts use of the church for Concerts etc.
A fund has been started and we have raised £5117 to date. This is only a fraction of the estimated £35,000 cost.

We would like to thank Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust for their contribution of £3000 and Allchurches Trust Ltd for their contribution of £750.  We will be able to repay the church building fund which had lent the appeal sufficient funds to commence the work by employing ASTAM GBC as the architect for the project.

Should you be able to help please contact our Vicar or anyone on the PCC.

The hearing loop and sound system has been installed and works well with special thanks to Mona and Hilary for fund raising and Nick Wight of Wight Audio for design and installation.

A kitchen unit has been installed in the Choir Vestry making life much easier and our thanks go to Mona and Hilary for donations and Phil for carrying out the installation.
