The figures at the base of this window are life portraits of Canon Haines, Celebrant, Ralph Buffrey, Server and Mrs Haines Communicant.
The window in the east wall of the south transept is known as the Addis window. Two young brothers, both serving in the RA.F during the second world war, were both killed in action. The window was placed by their mother. It consists of a main figure of the Ascension with subsidiary figures of two men in R.A.F. uniform kneeling in the choir stalls. Above the figure of the Ascension is the emblem of the Chalice and the Host. The inscription reads "In Loving Memory of William Addis, Flt./Sgt. R.A.F.V.R., 3rd December 1943 and of his brother Robert E. Addis, Sgt. R.A.F.V.R., 7th May 1944". When applying for a faculty for this window the Vicar wrote "These boys were devoted Choir-boys and devout Communicants". The centenary window is formed by the three lights in the south wall of the south transept. The subject of the window is worked out in one plan as a Thanksgiving window for the centenary of St John's Church Cinderford.
